This is an excellent opportunity to join a large European organisation in a Logistics Sales Manager appointment. You will win and negotiate new contracts, optimise freight costs and drive revenue. This new role covering UK & Ireland within the raw food sector involves winning new business, setting pricing strategies, managing supplier Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and identifying opportunities to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Maximise contractual profitability & identify contractual risks. Responsible for all pricing and financial performance for the business.
- Build relationships with Logistics Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Procurement Managers, Operations Managers and Plant Managers.
- New business development, market expansion, networking, supply chain leverage.
- Manage client contracts tenders and bids, adhoc enquiries, existing contract reviews, contract renewals.
- Support the daily operation of the fast-paced, high-volume environment - drive and deliver KPIs whilst prioritising safety & best practice.
- Establish the strategic objectives for the team ensuring they are delivering against both commercial and operations needs of the business. Analyse and advise best methods to create balance of service delivery, risk management, quality and process efficiency.
- Lead the tender and bid contract preparation. Work with all relevant functions to create best position of financial proposition which meets client requirements, as well as achieving/exceeding desired revenues for the business.
- Build positive relationships and collaboration between teams within the UK and with regional partners at all levels.
- Work collaboratively with other functions e.g. Finance, Quality and Supply Chain.
- Drive productivity to deliver agreed cost per unit targets for cost of goods and wastage.
- To reduce waste costs across the area by delivering improvement activity to drive down costs. Support onboarding of new clients and play a key part of the senior management team. Partner with UK teams to deliver continuous improvement projects.
