Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to act as the Portfolio Company Lead for a London-based real estate platform. This individual will be responsible for driving asset-level decision-making, executing value-add strategies, and leading the organisation through its next phase of growth. The role requires full P&L ownership, Board-level reporting, and a hands-on approach to asset management, development, and capital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Diagnostics & Disposition Strategy
    • Lead the diagnostic review of existing legacy and performing assets.
    • Formulate clear recommendations to hold, reposition, or exit each asset.
    • Present well-structured, data-backed proposals to the Board for approval.
  • Value Creation & Exit Planning for Held Asset
    • Develop and execute comprehensive asset business plans for retained properties, including asset repositioning and refurbishment/redevelopment strategies.
    • Project delivery and refurbishment/redevelopment execution.
    • Asset management plans.
    • Sourcing and negotiating with joint venture partners, contractors, and consultants.
    • Drive measurable value enhancement and achieve targeted exit return.
  • Organisational & Talent Strategy
    • Evaluate current organisational structure, team capability, and culture.
    • Identify gaps or redundancies and realign teams to meet business and asset-level objectives.
    • Lead performance management as needed.
  • Capital & Financing Strategy
    • Develop and execute a long-term capital strategy covering internal capital deployment and recycling.
    • External financing (debt, equity, joint ventures).
    • Build and lead a team capable of executing the capital plan, including potential fund-level or platform-level raises.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Asset-level full life-cycle experience: Proven track record across the full asset life-cycle: planning, development, delivery, operations/exit.
  • Large-scale refurbishment/redevelopment experience: Must have led complex, large-scale renovation or repositioning projects.
  • International real estate & development experience: Senior-level experience managing real estate assets and development projects in overseas, ideally including the UK or Europe.
  • Board-level reporting & communication: Exceptional communication skills with proven ability to present to a Board / Investment Committee.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese (professional proficiency required for shareholder reporting).

Strongly Preferred (Major Plus)

  • Asset management background: Experience in institutional-grade asset management (budgeting, leasing, opex control, valuation, IRRs, exit timing).
