The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly respected Medical Negligence & Inquests team based in our Norwich office.

Working closely with our solicitors and legal professionals, you will play a vital role in supporting the team to deliver an exceptional service to clients, many of whom are going through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding client care.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive PA and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners within the Medical Negligence & Inquests team.
  • Manage diaries, appointments, meetings and travel arrangements where required.
  • Prepare, format and amend legal documents, correspondence and reports.
  • Open and maintain client files in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, medical experts, hospitals, barristers and other third parties.
  • Assist with billing, file management and general administrative duties.
  • Coordinate meetings, including arranging MS Teams calls and preparing documentation.
  • Ensure files and records are maintained accurately and in line with data protection and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the wider team to ensure deadlines are met and clients receive an efficient and professional service.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Can Demonstrate

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A professional, compassionate and client-focused approach.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive, flexible and positive attitude.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a busy team.

Previous experience as a Legal PA, Legal Secretary or Administrator within a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous.

Experience within medical negligence, personal injury or litigation is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
