Job Title
Part Time Supervising Social Worker
Location & Caseload
Office: Coventry
Caseload: Midlands and South Yorkshire. Travel of up to an hour is required, with occasional extended travel as part of team work.
Working Conditions
Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
Contract: 12‑month fixed term
Salary: £38,000 prorated

Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to foster parents within a realistic caseload that enables a high level of supervision
- Deliver regular supervision to allocated foster parents, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Work in partnership with children, young people, foster parents and other professionals, local authorities and stakeholders to enable full participation in safeguarding and child protection decisions
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a qualified, experienced Social Worker who is enthusiastic, committed and appreciates the role of foster parents. The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Have previous experience of children and families social work
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of applicable legislation and publications in children’s services
- Be proficient in IT
- Have a full driving licence, be confident driving and possess unrestricted access to a personal vehicle
- Be flexible in working patterns and willing to travel as required
