The predicted salary is between 30000 - 48000 £ per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a daily information and research service to architects and designers.
  • Research and supply information on materials, companies and alternative solutions located in the Materials Research Centre (MRC).
  • Digitally photograph and database new samples entering the MRC and maintain the sample library.
  • Maintain and update the MRC sample library, identify gaps and keep existing samples current through regular contact with manufacturers and companies.
  • Carry out detailed research for partners, senior partners and architects on thematic or sustainable material and technology issues.
  • Undertake in-house or industry collaboration for material/product development and experimentation.
  • Provide knowledge feedback on correct usage of different material types and on materials/products/companies used on Foster + Partners projects.

Qualifications:

  • Legally able to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Able to undertake the responsibilities listed above.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • General understanding of architecture terminology.
  • Initiative and proactive approach to daily tasks.
  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
  • Industrial Design or Architecture qualification or experience would be hugely beneficial.
