At Foster + Partners, we deliver some of the most iconic and technically ambitious projects in the world — the kind of work that defines skylines, transforms cities, and sets global standards for design excellence. But architecture at this level doesn’t happen through design talent alone. It happens when design, technology and delivery are seamlessly integrated — when standards are strong, models are reliable, workflows are optimised, and teams can move at pace without losing quality.

We are looking for a Senior BIM & Design Systems Coordinator to join our Central Digital Delivery Team — a pivotal role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with leadership, mentoring and influence. This is not a project-only BIM coordination position. It’s a practice‐wide opportunity to shape how BIM is delivered across multiple studios, enabling world‐class teams to work smarter, faster and with total consistency.

The opportunity within Digital Delivery involves implementing, governing and continuously improving Foster + Partners' BIM standards, methods and workflows across all studios and projects. You’ll act as a senior technical expert and mentor for BIM coordination and information management — supporting the development of BIM strategies, project setups and execution plans, ensuring teams are optimised for delivery in Revit and associated technologies, and that outputs are coordinated, high quality and contractually compliant.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the Digital Delivery Manager in developing, maintaining and deploying BIM & Design Systems standards, methodologies and workflows across projects and studios.
  • Acting as a senior advisor and mentor to studio BIM Coordinators and project teams, enabling consistent application of best practice.
  • Supporting BIM Leads and BIM Coordinators in developing project information management strategies and setup for large, complex projects.
  • Leading liaison with clients and external project stakeholders on complex BIM requirements.
  • Overseeing information management processes to ensure compliance with Foster + Partners standards and relevant contractual obligations (including ISO 19650).
  • Managing and maintaining central BIM content libraries, templates, Revit families and associated digital assets.
  • Providing expert support across Revit, Navisworks and BIM-related software — troubleshooting and resolving issues for teams.
  • Supporting technical training through workshops, sessions and ongoing mentoring.
  • Monitoring model quality, coordination issues and QA/QC performance across projects.
  • Contributing to research, innovation and automation initiatives to improve digital delivery capability.
  • Communicating updates to standards, tools and workflows clearly across stakeholders to drive adoption.
  • Identifying and escalating improvement opportunities across processes and technical delivery.

What we’re looking for:

This is a senior hire — we’re looking for someone who combines deep BIM expertise with leadership maturity. You’ll likely bring:

  • 8+ years’ experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role, with strong expertise delivering BIM on medium to large-scale projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Revit and associated technologies, plus strong capability in Navisworks (clash detection + reporting).
  • Advanced modelling/content creation knowledge within Revit.
  • Experience creating, reviewing and applying BIM execution plans and associated documentation.
  • A track record of leading BIM execution and QA/QC processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and influence technical and design teams.
  • Confidence working across multiple projects and studios simultaneously, balancing priorities effectively.
  • Experience supporting ISO 19650-aligned workflows and digital information management best practice.
  • The ability to draft and communicate new processes and policies, and bring people with you.
  • Calm ownership, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive/confidential information.
  • Dynamo (ability to read/write scripts).
  • Construction‐phase BIM / digital delivery experience in built environments.
  • Centralised BIM / Digital Delivery team experience across multiple studios/offices.
  • BIM qualifications (BSI / BRE / RICS or similar).

Why Foster + Partners: Because this is where the standard is truly global. At Foster + Partners, BIM and Digital Delivery are not box‐ticking exercises — they are core to how we deliver excellence. You’ll be surrounded by elite teams, exposed to complex international projects, and trusted to operate at the highest level of technical leadership.

This is a role for someone who wants practice‐wide influence and the opportunity to shape a best‐in‐class digital delivery culture. If you’re ready to sit at the centre of delivery — driving consistency, quality, innovation and capability across one of the most respected practices in the world — we’d love to hear from you.
