At Foster + Partners, technology quietly underpins everything we do — from the way our teams collaborate across continents, to how ideas move from concept to construction. We’re now looking for an End User Computing Manager to take ownership of that everyday experience and help shape the next chapter of our digital workplace. This is a role for someone who understands that great technology doesn’t shout — it just works. Someone who can balance operational excellence with long‑term thinking, and who enjoys being close to users, systems, and decision‑making in equal measure.

You’ll sit at the heart of a global practice, working with designers, engineers, project teams, and leadership to ensure our people have the tools, platforms, and support they need to do their best work — wherever they are in the world.

The role

As End User Computing Manager, you’ll lead and evolve Foster + Partners’ end user computing capability across a diverse, international estate. You’ll manage a small but highly impactful team, act as a trusted point of escalation, and play a key role in modernising how we deliver end user services. You’ll quickly become the go‑to expert for EUC — someone who understands both the technical landscape and the human reality of how people work day‑to‑day. From hardware standards and lifecycle management, to service improvement, change delivery, and stakeholder confidence, your influence will be felt across the practice. This is a role with real scope: operational responsibility today, and the opportunity to help shape the future of our digital workplace tomorrow.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and developing a high‑performing End User Computing team, setting clear priorities, standards, and KPIs
  • Owning the end user computing environment across devices, applications, and core user services
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for complex issues, incidents, and change initiatives
  • Driving continuous improvement and modernisation across EUC platforms, tools, and lifecycle management
  • Supporting and delivering EUC‑related projects that improve stability, security, and user experience
  • Advising on hardware standards, asset management, and investment decisions
  • Working closely with Technology leadership, Project Management, and business stakeholders to plan and communicate change effectively
  • Embedding best practice around service delivery, compliance, and operational resilience

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines technical credibility, calm leadership, and excellent judgement.

  • Significant experience in End User Computing / Digital Workplace roles within complex organisations
  • A strong understanding of EUC platforms, asset lifecycles, hardware standards, and service operations
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, setting direction, and managing performance
  • The confidence to influence across a matrix organisation and build trust with senior stakeholders
  • A practical, user‑focused mindset — able to balance standards, security, and real‑world usability
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion

Just as importantly, you’ll be curious, proactive, and motivated by improving how people experience technology at work.

Why Foster + Partners

Foster + Partners is a place where excellence is expected, ideas are challenged, and collaboration sits at the centre of everything we do. You’ll be part of a Technology Services team that is trusted, visible, and integral to the success of the practice — not hidden away in the background. This is a chance to take real ownership, work alongside world‑class professionals, and help define what a modern, well‑run digital workplace looks like at a global design practice.
