The Urban Design Group is seeking a skilled Data Scientist - Developer to join their team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and a passion for urban policy, governance, and strategic planning. The role involves leveraging geospatial data to perform analysis, mapping, and optimization, to inform design strategies and requires strong programming skills and proficiency with SQL and geospatial tools. Familiarity with ESRI technology and data visualization is a plus.
Qualities & Skills
- Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities
- Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based
- Proficient with SQL and experience with DB query clients
- Proficiency with a suite of geospatial tools
- Experience with network analysis, multivariate statistics, and machine learning algorithms
- Working knowledge of how to leverage geospatial data
- Experience creating bespoke interactive maps
