About the Role
Foster + Partners is seeking a Design Systems Analyst to join our world-renowned Specialist Modelling Group (SMG) — a cross-disciplinary team at the cutting edge of architectural geometry, simulation, and design technology. As part of a collaborative and research-driven environment, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how complex geometry, simulation tools, and digital design processes influence architectural projects — from concept to construction.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop advanced methodologies for digital design, modelling, and simulation.
- Support project teams at every stage: design, documentation, fabrication, and construction.
- Drive innovation through research into emerging modelling tools and technologies.
- Promote and implement SMG-developed workflows across project teams.
- Liaise with ICT and digital teams to ensure efficient systems integration.
- Stay ahead of trends in CAD, BIM, and computational design.
- Uphold Foster + Partners standards and contribute to a culture of inclusion, equity, and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree or diploma in architecture, design technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Legal eligibility to work in the UK (or the role’s location).
- Expertise in one or more of the following: computational design, environmental analysis, advanced geometry, BIM, parametric modelling, or animation.
- High proficiency in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Dynamo, Microstation, CATIA/Digital Project, Generative Components.
- Deep understanding of 3D workflows, geometry, and digital fabrication in the built environment.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
- Highly organised, proactive, and resilient under pressure.
