We’re looking for a Design Resource Planner to join our dynamic Planning & Resource team, a key part of the firm’s Management Group. In this role, you’ll work closely with Studio Partners, Designers, Commercial Managers, and other internal stakeholders to forecast and plan design resources across a diverse and fast-moving global project portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with direct experience in resource planning within a design or construction environment, or someone with an architectural degree and a strong understanding of the design process who is eager to step into a planning and management role. Full training and mentoring will be provided for candidates from an architectural background.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the preparation of design resource forecasts to support fee proposals and project planning.
- Act as a key liaison for Studio Senior Partners and global teams, building trusted relationships across the business.
- Develop and maintain design programmes from early-stage proposals through to delivery.
- Contribute to internal improvements in planning systems and processes, and support broader strategic initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members and lead by example, promoting Foster + Partners’ collaborative culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in resource forecasting and planning within the construction or design industry.
- Or a degree in architecture with a solid understanding of how design projects are delivered across all stages.
- Familiarity with the design and construction process, including procurement and commercial bid preparation.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and manage competing priorities with calm professionalism.
- Proficiency in relevant planning tools (Powerproject, Excel, Deltek, Dynamics).
