The predicted salary is between 51750 - 63250 £ per year.

A Business Analyst at Foster + Partners supports operational excellence through continuous analysis and improvement of Foster + Partners ways of working. They will make strategic use of processes and technology to drive better outcomes for our people across the numerous activities and systems in use day to day. This is a hands-on role, and the job holder will have technical knowledge of IT applications, be able to learn fast and have experience of working in a technical customer service-based role. The primary focus is to identify, document and solution areas of inefficiency or inconsistency in operations ranging from large scale implementation projects to addressing daily system issues. You will be liaising directly with users, your peers, IT teams, senior stakeholders and external providers. You must be able to work within a team, willing to learn, be self-motivated, proactive, highly-organised and approach work with a human centred mindset.

This role is ideal if you want to:

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business to understand & define problems and opportunities for improvement in both a technical and non-technical capacity
  • Work closely with different teams and stakeholders to tackle areas of improvement, developing and maintaining a product or operational road map
  • Use industry & Foster + Partners best practice to define complex solution requirements & manage delivery e.g. Development & maintenance of an Agile backlog of work
  • Rationalise competing stakeholder requirements to identify the most appropriate solution whilst maintaining a high level of personability and professionalism
  • Define business processes in both a technical & human centred manner to support in defining solution scope, and communicating stakeholder responsibilities
  • Develop and test workflow, integration, UI and automation code/ scripts for a number of applications as defined in the user stories.
  • Engage with the IT change control process to prepare and implement changes to production
  • Design and deliver comprehensive change management strategies to improve digital adoption of applications and improve end user productivity
  • Enhance analytics and reporting of solution performance, enabling a data-driven service delivery function & fostering continuous improvement
  • Lead in the development of training materials and support in conducting training and workshops
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network
  • Establish and promote guidelines, best practices and standards for the support.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, and applicable vendor product roadmap(s) as relevant to our business, to proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Understanding and use of databases, reporting and production of enterprise applications systems including 'On-Prem' and Cloud Based applications.
  • Cut through competing stakeholder requirements to identify the most appropriate solution whilst maintaining a high level of personability and professionalism
  • Develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience working in an agile delivery team, with a focus on backlog management, requirement specification, and prioritisation of work
  • Ability to produce detailed requirements documentation
  • Both understanding of and experience in producing: Business Process Documentation, Service Blueprints, Customer Journeys, Database and Technical architecture diagrams, Business Case & Requirements documents and similar 'BA' centric artefacts
  • Ability to draw on and customise a range of methodologies to serve unique goals
