Foster + Partners is where design ambition meets global impact. From landmark masterplans and major city-scale regeneration projects to landscape-led destinations that become cultural reference points — our work doesn’t just fill space. It shapes the way people live, move, and experience the world. But projects at this level don’t succeed on creativity alone. They require precision, consistency, and world-class coordination — the invisible structure that allows exceptional design to happen at speed.

We’re looking for a BIM Coordinator (Urban Design / Landscape) to join our London studio and become a key part of that delivery engine — working alongside outstanding teams, driving digital coordination across multiple studios, and ensuring our models, data and workflows stay clean, aligned and design‑enabling. If you’re the kind of person who gets satisfaction from making complex projects run beautifully — and you want to apply your BIM craft to globally recognised work — this is a genuinely career-defining role.

Opportunity

This is a key role supporting the delivery of Urban Design and Landscape projects in line with the Foster + Partners BIM & Design Systems strategy. As BIM Coordinator, you’ll be the single point of contact for BIM coordination on your project(s). You’ll help teams optimise the way they work in Revit and associated technologies, ensuring coordination is tight, standards are embedded, and outputs are dependable — from early schematic stages through detailed design. This is not “background BIM support.” You’ll be in the room, embedded with the project environment, shaping workflows and unlocking pace and quality across the studio. You’ll also be part of a central BIM community that takes improvement seriously — mentoring, upskilling, and continuously raising the bar.

What you’ll be doing
  • Act as the BIM coordination lead and project point of contact across Urban Design / Landscape workstreams.
  • Support Studio Lead(s) with BIM coordination strategy, setup and delivery approach.
  • Coordinate teams and models across studios, ensuring workflows are efficient, consistent and well-managed.
  • Organise, configure and maintain projects to support clean delivery at pace.
  • Manage Revit production and project content — including advanced modelling and topography workflows.
  • Apply and communicate Foster + Partners BIM standards, procedures and workflows across project teams.
  • Run clash detection and issue clear, actionable coordination outputs (Navisworks + reports).
  • Liaise with Client BIM representatives and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination, data transfer and documentation delivery.
  • Support mentoring and core design systems best practices — raising capability across the studio.
  • Work with the Central BIM Group to keep standards and workflows aligned across projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with BIM contractual requirements without introducing risk.
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with calm coordination authority — someone who can keep multiple moving parts aligned and communicate clearly without noise. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator on medium/large-scale projects in Revit.
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit modelling / content creation, with a strong understanding of topography.
  • Excellent understanding of Landscape / Urban Design scopes and deliverables.
  • Experience delivering landscape projects through Schematic and Detail Design using digital tools.
  • Strong Navisworks experience (clash detection, reporting, coordination output).
  • The ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational ability — you bring order, structure and clarity to delivery.
  • A proactive, resilient approach, with confidence working under pressure and to deadlines.
Desirable (nice-to-haves)
  • Experience with BIM on‑site workflows and mobile coordination tools.
  • BIM qualifications (BRE / RICS or similar).
