A prominent and growing national construction consultancy with multiple offices across the UK is looking for a skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to work on projects in London and the East Midlands. This is a primarily remote role with a fair amount of travelling required - the working conditions are super-flexible, including hybrid, condensed hours or even part-time. The successful Building Surveyor will live a commutable distance for London projects and will attend the Nottingham office once or twice per fortnight.

The Building Surveyor's role

You will cover both project and surveying/reporting duties and will be self-managing from early on. Your workload will be spread amongst a wide variety of sectors, from residential, to heritage/listed buildings, to ecclesiastical and public sector. To begin the work is biased towards a London based client completing quinquennial inspections, project management and refurbishment work. A driving licence and car are therefore highly preferable (all mileage reimbursed etc.)

The Building Surveyor

  • 4 years or more experience
  • A degree in building surveying
  • Doing APC, or wanting to, or already chartered (CIOB or RICS)
  • Variety of sector experience would be ideal but not essential
  • Some residential and/or ecclesiastical sector experience preferred
  • CAD skilled - able to draw up schemes
  • Can be coming from Consultancy, Public Sector or other background
