We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with extensive (Caltrans) highways experience to manage transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of project management experience on Caltrans-funded or Caltrans-regulated highway projects and the ability to commute to project sites as required.Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of highway and transportation projects, from planning and design through construction and closeoutServe as the primary point of contact with Caltrans, local agencies, consultants, and contractorsEnsure compliance with Caltrans standards, specifications, procedures, and reporting requirementsOversee project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk managementPrepare and review project schedules, cost estimates, change orders, and progress reportsCoordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, construction, inspection, and environmental staffMonitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to contract requirementsIdentify and resolve project issues, claims, and conflicts in a timely mannerSupport audits, reviews, and Caltrans approvalsAttend meetings, field visits, and inspections across Bay Area project sitesRequired Qualifications Minimum 10 years of project management experience on Caltrans highway or transportation projectsDemonstrated experience working directly with Caltrans DistrictsStrong knowledge of Caltrans Project Development Procedures Manual (PDPM), Standard Specifications, and Local Assistance ProceduresProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication, coordination, and leadership skillsAbility to commute and travel throughout the Bay Area as requiredProficiency in project management tools and reporting systemsPreferred Qualifications Bachelor\’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldExperience with roadway, freeway, interchange, bridge, or major rehabilitation projectsFamiliarity with CEQA/NEPA coordination and right-of-way processesCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement optionsOpportunities for professional growth on high-profile transportation projects
