Purpose of the job: To help to deliver the Secondsight employee focused advised and non-advised retirement planning, financial guidance and education propositions.
Job summary: Secondsight provides financial wellbeing, pensions and group risk and healthcare advice to medium sized employers. As part of this service, we provide many of our clients’ employees with retirement guidance and general financial education, through face-to-face, telephone or web meetings, or through presentations, either on-site or via the web. We typically work with companies employing 400 to 700 employees in the professional services sector, especially law firms and tech companies, although we do work in other sectors. Secondsight is the dedicated employee benefits division of Foster Denovo Limited. We rely on our team of valued Pension & Financial Wellbeing Consultants to deliver retirement focused advice and guidance. We also provide general financial guidance for employees. We present on a range of financial wellbeing topics; our team is the face of our business to employees.
The successful candidate will be part of our Employee Engagement Team, working with our Client Experience teams. Key parts of this role include guiding and advising new employees who may have been automatically enrolled into their employer’s workplace pension scheme, as well as advising and guiding existing members of workplace pension schemes on the benefits available from the employer. Helping them understand how pensions work and the benefits of salary sacrifice. We also identify where they may benefit from wider holistic advice and how they can access this. Our Consultants meet a wide variety of people on differing salaries and experience of the implications for those on lower salaries, and high salaries, is essential. Many of our clients’ pension schemes operate salary sacrifice, so knowledge of this and automatic enrolment, as well as workplace pension schemes in general, is advantageous.
Main responsibilities:
- To provide friendly and engaging first class service to our clients and their employees, following our ethos of putting our clients at the heart of our service.
- Conduct one–to-one advice meetings with employees regarding their workplace pension scheme using our cashflow modelling software.
- To be able to explain complex financial jargon in plain English.
- Conduct and follow the Secondsight Retirement Planning, Retirement Snapshot and Financial Guidance Meeting processes.
- Be responsible for hosting and presenting financial wellbeing presentations and tutorials on a variety of financial planning topics, including retirement planning, to groups of differing sizes.
- Answer member queries via email and telephone.
- Be proficient at using our cashflow modelling software.
- Build strong internal and external relationships.
- Make sure all client files are maintained in conjunction with Foster Denovo compliance standards.
- To participate in appropriate company and departmental training, competence and development initiatives.
