Junior Estimator

• Review project specifications and requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, our existing supppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimates.

• Conduct thorough research on material costs, labour rates, and other expenses to ensure precise calculations.

• Prepare and present detailed estimates, including breakdowns of costs for materials, labour, and overheads.

• Monitor ongoing projects to track actual costs against estimates and identify any discrepancies.

• Implement cost control measures to optimise project budgets and enhance profitability.

• Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates and related documentation for future reference.

• Engage new suppliers and subcontractors for the supply of labour and materials.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent mathematical abilities for accurate cost calculations.

• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams and present findings clearly.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
