We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Caretaker to join our busy and friendly school team. This is a key role ensuring that our buildings, grounds and facilities are safe, secure, well-maintained and presented to a high standard for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring the security, safety and day-to-day maintenance of the school site
- Carry out repairs, maintenance and improvement works
- Supporting the school’s cleaning team to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
- Carrying out routine health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
- Liaising with contractors and external service providers as required
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have good practical maintenance skills and an understanding of health and safety requirements
- Ideally have previous experience in a similar role
- Be proactive, well organised, and able to work independently using their own initiative
- Take pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming school environment
- Have a full clean driving licence
