We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver (26 tonner) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently collecting and delivering goods to various locations, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 2 HGV 26 tonner, in accordance with legal and safety requirements
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedules
- Secure loads properly on the vehicle to prevent movement during transit
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, including inspections of tyres, brakes, lights, and load security equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered
- Adhere strictly to road traffic laws and company policies at all times
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring safe handling practices
Experience:
- Proven experience as a commercial delivery driver
- Demonstrable driving skills with a valid UK HGV Class 2 licence
- Prior experience in delivery driving is highly desirable
