Based in our Central Support Office in Newcastle (Newcastle Business Park), with be responsibility for managing the company's accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining positive supplier relationships.

About You! Experience

  • Good knowledge of general ledger functions and accounts payable best practices.
  • Experience in accounts payable or similar role desirable.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (MCS experience desired but not essential) and MS Excel.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with supplier and internal stakeholders.

About the Role! Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process supplier invoices.
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes, including GL account reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Respond to supplier inquiries and provide support as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Carrying out any other duties as requested by immediate line manager or Director.
