Barts Health NHS Trust are looking for a talented, motivated and ambitious individual to take up the role of Programme Lead for Prevention and Transformation across our medical services within North East London. The post holder should have a passion for innovation and a drive to improve healthcare services on a population health level. They will be responsible for delivering North East London’s disease prevention strategy which centres on the FIND project. The “FIND” prevention project aims to utilize automated case finding technology to identify local North East London residents at risk of long term medical conditions (Chronic Kidney Disease, Diabetes, Liver Disease etc). Once identified these residents will be risk stratified and have appropriate intervention to minimize their risk of disease progression and the risk of needing long term medical care. We believe this is a powerful tool which can help redesign our care of long term conditions within the region. It is an incredibly exciting project which is garnering national attention and its successful roll out is a priority for the Trust and local ICB. The post will be primarily based at The Royal London Hospital and is available as a three year fixed term contract. It is advertised as a 37.5 hour per week post but we are open to flexible or part time working provided applicants can demonstrate an ability to fulfill the job description and requirements.
Job Description:
- Lead the Programme Management for Disease Prevention within the Medicine Division at The Royal London Hospital and more widely across Barts Health/North East London.
- Develop and manage the approval of OBCs (Outline Business Cases) and FBCs (Full Business Cases) to support the investment.
- In particular lead the option appraisal of various solutions in terms of cost, benefits and risks.
- Manage simultaneous large and/or complex projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
- Provide day-to-day management of these projects on behalf of Project Boards.
- Manage the resolution of all significant project issues.
- Communicate and report all routine and complex issues arising from the programme/projects to a wide range of internal and external staff.
- Identify and exploit opportunities for innovation, development, wealth generation, service and health improvement to maximise the impact of FIND beyond Northeast London.
- Lead on the evaluation of complex transformation projects and the modeling of key benefits which contribute to health-economic gains.
