About us
We are a private dental practice situated in the heart of Penwortham with local off-street parking. The practice is comprised of 3 modern surgeries benefiting from the latest technology in a desirable location with neighbouring cafes, restaurants, and other local amenities. We offer a wide range of both general and cosmetic procedures with a stable team in situ. The practice benefits from the support of a Head Nurse and Assistant Manager as well as a shared Practice Manager with our sister site also located in Penwortham.
The Role:
- Assisting patients with booking, rearranging and cancelling appointments as requested.
- Ensuring and maintaining a safe, clean and productive working environment.
- Taking payments, cash handling, finance applications as well as enrolling patients onto monthly payment plans.
- Keeping up to date with Training and Development ensuring that all relevant CPD is completed and up to date.
- Adhering to all cross-infection controls and ensuring that HTM01-05 regulations are followed at all times.
- Act as the first port of call for all enquiries and working with a professional demeanour whilst following up new and existing leads.
The Person:
- A self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills, with an ability to multitask and work off own initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure and a desire to grow professionally.
- Someone who is IT proficient (Microsoft Office Packages) and experience with Dentally and Dental Compliance software is a bonus, but all training will be given.
- Outstanding telephone manner with a patient-focused approach.
- A person with a friendly and approachable demeanour and a passion to help; the right candidate must be able to adapt and assist with the growth of the practice and work in a fast-paced environment; teamwork is key.
- It is key that you can build strong working relationships and utilise these for the smooth running of the practice.
Qualifications
- Strong patient care skills.
- Proficiency in English.
- Dental background would be advantageous.
- IT knowledge, especially in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing (desirable).
- GDC registration (desirable).
