RESECT ENGINEERING LTD are looking to recruit permanent full-time Setting Out Engineers/Surveyors to join their expanding workforce, working in London and surrounding areas with a great opportunity to be involved with the Sizewell C and Lower Thames Crossing projects.
The Company Resect Engineering Solutions have been supplying the UK construction industry with site engineering and surveying services since 2010. Based in Kent, Resect specialise in providing high quality ‘Site Setting Out’ services to the UK’s piling industry by utilising the latest Leica technology. Established in 2010, Resect is part of the Cadplan service group which has been supplying comprehensive surveying services to the architectural, construction, and development industries since 1995. Resect pride themselves on providing high quality engineering services direct to the Client, from Initial site preparation through to project completion.
Job role will include:
- Controlling all general site setting out, leveling/datum’s and surveying of site;
- Checking relative plans and drawings for accuracy of calculations;
- Liaising with Client Supervisors and the general workforce involved in the project;
- Where requested attend regular meetings to keep Client informed of site progress;
- Planning work and efficiently organising work in order to meet agreed deadlines;
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Applicants must ideally have at least 2-3 years site experience with a good knowledge of Leica survey instrumentation (preferably ICON & GNSS) & AutoCAD knowledge. Previous experience with Piling and ground works would be an advantage, holding a Qualified CSCS card (MAPS essential for the involvement on Sizewell C and Lower Thames Crossing) and a Full Driving License/Car.
In most cases successful candidates will be required to work as a part of the site management team liaising with and working alongside architects, engineers, construction managers, supervisors, planners, surveyors and subcontractors.
Basic Salary £32k-38k dependant on experience, includes good overtime rates, travel expenses, holiday pay, Pension Plan etc. Pay: From £32,000.00 per year. Work Location: In person.
