Quest Employment is recruiting for an experienced and reliable Goods In Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse operation based in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Counterbalance and Reach Truck experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity.
The Role
As a Goods In Forklift Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring all incoming deliveries are received, checked and stored accurately. You’ll be responsible for operating forklift trucks safely, unloading deliveries, inspecting stock, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Counterbalance and Reach Truck forklifts.
- Unload incoming deliveries from vehicles and containers using MHE or by hand where required.
- Handball loose cartons when necessary.
- Check deliveries against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages or discrepancies.
- Store stock safely in designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure all products are labelled and stored correctly.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the goods-in and warehouse areas.
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Report damaged goods or delivery issues to the Warehouse Management team.
- Support other warehouse duties as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences.
- PPT experience would be advantageous; training can be provided.
- Previous Goods In or warehouse experience.
- Good understanding of warehouse Health & Safety procedures.
- Experience using handheld scanners or Warehouse Management Systems is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving stock safely.
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
