Location: Hybrid 2/3 days in the office (LS1 & LS28)

Salary: £33,215 – £35,000. Plus 10% Bonus

Job Purpose: Strengthen Lantern’s Second Line of Defence by delivering robust compliance activity aligned to plan and providing independent assurance that risks are well understood and effectively controlled, enabling safe and sustainable business growth.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Completion of compliance monitoring reviews, including terms of reference, testing, establishing materiality of findings and supporting stakeholders to understand the importance.
  • Completion of horizon scanning, analysis of regulation or regulatory change to inform the business of impacts.
  • Complete assurance checks on Lantern Group suppliers in line with the supplier monitoring plan (and at onboarding of new suppliers).
  • Supporting Senior Management with risk incident or regulatory breach activity.
  • Understand and elevate any control failures to ensure risk register is contemporary and Senior Managers have the information they need to make the right decisions.
  • Produce quality written reports that communicate findings and risks in a clear and concise manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to maintain the credibility of Lantern’s 2nd Line of Defence.
  • Ensure actions are tracked from inception through to implementation, obtaining and keeping evidence of decision making.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance to create content for relevant committees.
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business functions through effective communication.
  • Develop and sustain a sound understanding of key legislation and regulation pertinent to Lantern (FCA, ICO, OFCOM etc.) and keep abreast of industry changes.
  • Champion a culture of compliance and support the First Line of Defence to understand and mitigate its risks.
