Location: SA8 4SX

Hours: 40 hours per week

Monday to Thursday: 6:30am – 3:30pm

Friday: 6:30am – 12:30pm

Salary: National Minimum Wage, with higher rates considered depending on experience.

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Labourer to join our Laminate Unit team. The Laminate Unit is a hazardous working environment where large volumes of resin, gel coat, and other chemicals are used. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, and hazard-free workplace, helping to ensure the safety of all employees within the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the Laminate Unit.
  • Keep work areas, walkways, and emergency exits clear and free from hazards.
  • Empty waste bins and remove waste materials promptly.
  • Clean spillages safely and immediately in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure floors and working areas remain clean and organised at all times.
  • Assist with the safe disposal of waste and contaminated materials.
  • Identify and report hazards, safety concerns, and housekeeping issues.
  • Follow all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Wear and maintain the required PPE at all times.

Requirements

  • Good awareness of health and safety.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Full training will be provided.

Due to the nature of the department, maintaining excellent housekeeping standards and ensuring the workplace remains free from hazards is a critical part of this role.

Pay: £12.21-£21.61 per hour
