The Role

As a

Water Tanker Driver , you will be responsible for the safe operation of company water tankers, transporting clean water from approved sources to customer locations and removing wastewater where required.

You will ensure all work is carried out safely, professionally and in accordance with company and legal requirements.

Key responsibilities include

  • Safely operating 2,000–4,000 litre water tanker vehicles.
  • Delivering clean water and removing wastewater from customer sites.
  • Completing all pre-use vehicle inspections before commencing journeys.
  • Carrying out routine vehicle safety checks, including oil, coolant, tyres, lights and other essential maintenance inspections.
  • Loading and unloading water safely using hoses and associated equipment.
  • Connecting and disconnecting trailers where required.
  • Ensuring vehicles are operated safely in all weather, road and traffic conditions.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks, tachograph records and all required transport documentation accurately.
  • Reporting vehicle defects, damage or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation of vehicles and equipment.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met safely and efficiently.
  • Providing excellent customer service while representing Quest Medical professionally at customer sites.
  • Maintaining compliance with all health and safety policies, road traffic legislation and company procedures.
  • What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Full UK

C driving licence .

  • Valid

Driver CPC qualification.

  • Minimum of

2 years’ commercial driving experience .

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • Previous experience operating water tankers or similar specialist vehicles.
  • Experience working within healthcare, utilities or specialist logistics.
  • Knowledge of vehicle defect reporting systems and tachograph regulations.
