Production Line Leader Temp to Perm
Location: Kingswinford
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (after 12 weeks)
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly.
Overtime: Paid at 1.33x after 37.5 hours
Please note: Due to the location and shift patterns, own transport is essential.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Line Leader to oversee a busy production line and lead a team in achieving daily production targets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and can motivate teams, solve problems proactively, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. For the right candidate, this opportunity offers a clear pathway to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a production team to achieve hourly and daily targets
- Manage labour effectively to meet production volumes and cost objectives
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, GMP, and hygiene compliance
- Complete production documentation accurately and use the integrated management system (Vision)
- Assist with training, onboarding, and development of new starters
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and waste reduction activities
- Liaise with agency staff and provide regular operational feedback
- Monitor KPIs including output, quality, waste, training, and health & safety performance
- Participate in team leader meetings, reviews, and performance management processes
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a production or manufacturing leadership role
- Confident managing and motivating teams in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of quality standards, hygiene procedures, and health & safety requirements
- Comfortable completing production paperwork and using internal systems
- Proactive, hands-on approach with strong communication and organisational skills
