Daisy Daycare is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and confident Early Years Practitioner to join our fantastic staff team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a supportive, kind and fun fast paced nursery which caters to children’s individual needs and interests as staff provide high quality experiences in a natural, safe and nurturing environment.
Successful candidates should have a sound knowledge and understanding of relevant documents such as Building/Realising the Ambition, GIRFEC and Curriculum for Excellence and be confident when using these to support their practice.
Applicants must hold an HNC or SVQ3 relevant childcare qualification.
Role of successful candidate:
- Work as part of a team and use initiative to provide stimulating, high quality experiences and environments.
- Keyworker for a group of children who you will observe and work with to complete individual learning journals.
- Have an understanding of the importance of outdoor play and be willing to spend parts of your day developing outdoor play and learning experiences.
- Have good communication skills as you strive to build positive relationships with both the children and their families.
- Attend additional training provided by the nursery to support practice.
- Adhere to nursery policies and procedures.
