Salary: £13.50 – £14 per hr dependant on experience

Throughout the year, we also welcome thousands of visitors to our seasonal events including our Tulip Festival, Pick Your Own strawberries and sunflowers and our much-loved Pumpkin Festival. Moo Café is open seven days a week, serving a delicious seasonal menu alongside daily specials. We are passionate about championing the very best of Yorkshire produce with our meat sourced from our award-winning on-site butchery.

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our busy kitchen team. This role offers daytime working hours, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a better work-life balance while working in a fast-paced quality-driven environment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef and kitchen team with the preparation and cooking of food ensuring our reputation for delicious, consistent, high-quality dishes is maintained and customer satisfaction remains a priority.
  • Help maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation with an enthusiastic, professional and friendly approach.
  • Comply with all food safety, hygiene, cleaning and allergen regulations.
  • Support food monitoring procedures and assist in controlling kitchen costs.

Ideal candidate:

  • Has a genuine passion for food.
  • Is ideally professionally qualified, although experienced chefs with excellent practical skills will also be considered.
  • Has excellent culinary and presentation skills.
  • Possesses strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is energetic, hardworking and takes pride in producing high-quality food.
  • Is a reliable team player with a flexible approach to supporting colleagues when needed.
