Are you a passionate and experienced HLTA ready to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our warm and welcoming team in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking special school that puts pupils at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to support, lead and deliver a creative, engaging and personalised curriculum for children with a range of complex needs.
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the classroom, including planning, preparation and assessment activities.
  • Lead small groups and cover the class in the teacher’s absence.
  • Line manage and support a team of Teaching Assistants, ensuring high standards of practice and promoting a positive, child-centred approach.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • An experienced HLTA or teaching assistant with relevant HLTA status or equivalent qualifications.
  • Passionate about early childhood development and inclusive education.
  • Skilled in supporting children with SEND, including those with autism, communication difficulties, and sensory needs.
  • A calm, proactive and confident leader, able to support and inspire others in the classroom.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
