We are looking for caring and committed Support Workers to join our team, delivering person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and challenging behaviours. As an Adult Support Worker, you will be central to supporting people to live meaningful and independent lives by enhancing their well-being, fostering positive behaviours, and empowering them to reach their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities As Our Adult Support Worker

  • Person-Centred Care: tailored support that respects each individual’s dignity, choices, and needs.
  • Promote Independence: Help service users build life skills (e.g., budgeting, cooking, self-care) to support daily living.
  • Behaviour Support: Apply de‑escalation and behaviour management strategies with compassion and safety.
  • Health & Safety: Follow care plans and risk assessments to maintain a safe, supportive environment.
  • Relationships: Build trust with service users, families, and professionals to enable effective care.
  • Support Plans: Work in line with each individual’s agreed care and support plan.
  • Daily Living: Assist with personal care, routines, and community activities to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain clear, accurate records in line with policies and standards.

What We Are Looking For Our Adult Support Workers

  • Experience as a Support Worker working with individuals with challenging behaviours is preferred but not essential — full training provided.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient nature.
  • Ability to manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviours in a calm, supportive manner.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
