Job Description

  • Assist to lead the technical and project management delivery of Mechanical projects
  • Assist tender bid for mechanical services.
  • Formalise standards for specifications, drawings, etc. in conjunction with other Team Leaders and Division Leaders
  • Keep Team members informed and aware of the latest practices, materials availability, legislative rules and regulations, etc.
  • Prepare/provide Conceptual Design/sketches
  • Ensure technicality/Design documentation work carried out by team members is appropriate and comply with codes and local authority requirements
  • Ensure various project submissions are made on time and follow up on comments to obtain approval
  • Ensure concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage
  • Oversee and control efficiency and quality of work produced by the Team members
  • Ensure timeliness of production of works carried out by the Team
  • Attend Client meeting and critical project meetings
  • Mentoring junior staffs
  • Review Mechanical Detailed Calculations Report, Design and Drawings
  • Review presentation slides’ technical/Design
  • Coordinate with the client, consultant, and Contractor on design, construction and submission aspects of projects

Job Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Recognised by Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore)
  • Must have experience working with an engineering design consultancy firm
  • Min. 6 years’ experience in the design/construction industry
  • Competent knowledge of local practice, i. e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission
  • Knowledge & experience in the process of obtaining TOP/CSC for the projects
  • Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
