About The Role
Join Our Dynamic Procurement Team at Asda House!
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Advisor – Procurement (Beverages) to become a vital part of our beverages procurement team, based at Asda House. If you are passionate about procurement and wine, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Location: Asda House, Leeds – Hybrid working (2 days per week from home)
- Contract Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities include:
- Administration of product listings, TPNs, Articles, and Anaplan updates
- Assist sourcing with vendor setup, specifications, and contracts
- Liaise with supply base on product setup
- Create origin statements for 2XL products and hand over to the 2XL planner
- Manage sample intake and storage for press tastings and wine competitions
- Support tasting setups and collate results to inform buying decisions
- Engage with suppliers to understand raw material availability and resolve issues
- Support buying with sourcing strategies, data analysis, and supplier reviews
- Ensure timely deliveries of raw materials, finished goods, and assets
- Attend supplier meetings and tastings to build wine knowledge
- Familiarize with the wine buying review process and market ranges
- Develop expertise in specific country responsibilities over time
What are we looking for?
- GCSE Mathematics and English
- WSET qualification and wine industry experience (advantageous)
- Attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
- Microsoft Excel skills
- Self-motivated and good communicator
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Negotiation skills
