Join our dynamic onsite Quality Team at IPL Whittlesey. We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Inspector to become a vital part of our onsite Quality Team at our House Plants & Flowers site in Whittlesey. Position Details:

  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 8:00am - 4:45pm
  • Location: IPL Whittlesey – Site Based Role
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product inspections to ensure compliance with ASDA specifications for product and packaging.
  • Perform comprehensive quality assurance inspections of incoming products.
  • Complete accurate QA reports without disrupting operations.
  • Fast‑track positive release of products to the depot.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance through interaction with site operations.
  • Act as a stand‑in for the QA Leader when necessary.
  • Cover third‑party site locations in the UK during event campaigns.
  • Conduct vase life tests according to the site schedule.
  • Perform raw material testing and trials as per site processes and colleague requests.
  • Complete competitor vase life tests as requested by the site and relevant teams.
  • Conduct online inspections to meet ASDA specifications.
  • Complete all system and line documentation within operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the wider business, including Commercial and Planning teams.
  • Complete and communicate raw material documentation to country offices and growers.
  • Fulfil all training requirements and adhere to SOPs and guidelines.
  • Oversee stock rotation and report any breaches of shelf‑life rules.
  • Randomly inspect finished goods against FG specifications.
  • Respond promptly to production online inspections following depot communications.
  • Maintain a flexible shift approach for events and campaigns.
  • Report any quality issues to the Quality SOL and Planning functions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proficient in IT skills, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Previous QA experience, preferably within a factory, manufacturing, or fresh produce environment.
  • Knowledge of HPF products.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Experience working in a factory environment (desirable).
  • HACCP knowledge (desirable).
