Join Our Dynamic Onsite Engineering Team at Forza Foods! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to become a vital part of our onsite Engineering Team at our Protein site in Normanton. If you are passionate about Engineering and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details:

  • Schedule: 4 on 2 off rotating shift patterns of 5:30am - 2:30pm & 2:15pm - 10:30pm
  • Location: Forza Foods - Site Based Role
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend breakdowns promptly and make repairs to a world class standard
  • Be responsible for the recording and booking out of parts used and diagnostics of each breakdown
  • Complete regular machine maintenance programmes to reduce packing downtime and complete relevant paperwork
  • Identify ways to maximise the “up-time” of each machine through enhanced cleaning or maintenance schedules
  • Work in a clean, safe environment at all times.
  • Monitor work area to ensure the workspace is safe and colleagues are following safe working practices
  • Liaise with our preferred contractors as and when required to do so monitoring them through the PTW system while on site
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on buildings, their facilities and utilities, plus all site plant and equipment when required to do so
  • Make clear recommendations to the Engineer Manager and Departmental Manager, where productivity gains can be made to reduce costs and improvements
  • Optimise the use of company resources whilst complying with the company’s policies and procedures

What are we looking for?

  • Electrical qualification with extensive additional mechanical ability/experience
  • ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical
  • PLC Programming/Diagnostic Knowledge
  • Qualified to 17th edition wiring regulations
  • Proven FMCG work experience
  • Work with and install single/three phase electrical circuits
  • Effective communication skills with confidence to challenge and question
  • Flexible and self-motivated
  • Positive attitude to work and a can do attitude
  • Ability to be logical and analytical

Desirable skills/experience:

  • IOSH Certificate
  • Knowledge of VFFM’s, Slicing, Thermo Forming, metal detecting and weighing equipment
