About The Role Join Our Dynamic Onsite Finance Team at IPL Normanton! We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Head of FP&A to become a vital part of our onsite Finance Team at our Head Office in Normanton. Position Details: Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm Location: IPL Normanton – Site Based Role Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Key Responsibilities: Lead the FP&A team to drive the understanding, optimisation, and clear communication of business performance to all stakeholders. Collaborate with the Managing Director, Group Finance Director, and the IPL Board to evaluate and execute the IPL Strategy. Provide day-to-day accountability for finance business partners, supporting the Commercial and Beverages areas of the business. Collaborate with the IPL Board and Group Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to assess and refine the financial implications of IPL’s strategic initiatives and change agenda. Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, consisting of six colleagues, with responsibilities including: Providing financial leadership for the five-year and one-year planning processes, defining the procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate targets and goals, presenting to the IPL Board, and submitting plans to ASDA. Overseeing forecasting and reporting processes across the IPL finance team, ensuring accurate monthly forecasts. Communicating IPL group performance metrics to ASDA. Offer financial support to the Commercial team, Beverages team, and Project Management Office (PMO). Manage product costing and pricing for ASDA, ensuring all costs are recovered and rebates are effectively managed. Collaborate with IT to optimise the use of the Anaplan planning system within IPL, including scoping and testing. Partner with IT on the development of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) infrastructure to ensure the provision of relevant, accurate, and timely management information (MI) that is well understood and utilised for business operations. Oversee central overheads across IPL, including planning and reporting of all Selling, General, and Administrative (SG&A) costs, and support business owners in aligning costs with budgetary constraints. Serve as a key member of the Finance leadership team. What We Are Looking For: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or MBA with over three years of post-qualification experience in finance roles. Proven FP&A experience and ability to influence at a senior level. Extensive finance business partnering experience, building collaborative relationships with internal customers. Experience in challenging environments with tight timelines. Exceptional critical and analytical thinking skills. Self-starter with high motivation to drive performance. Strong communication and stakeholder management across the IPL Group SLT. Business partner to board-level customers across IPL and ASDA. Identify and manage interdependencies to positively influence financial results. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in leading a team. Meticulous attention to detail. Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Desirable: Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or retail environments. What\’s in it for you?
