Forward Role are working with a long-established, family-run B2C business that's quietly doing big things in the digital space.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract brought in specifically to support the team through a significant technical project, with the potential to extend beyond 6 months depending on the scope of work covered. They're looking for someone available to start within the next two weeks.
This isn't a "just run a few audits" kind of role — it's a hands-on position for someone who genuinely loves the technical side of SEO: code, structure, schema, site speed, and everything that makes Google (and ChatGPT) happy.
Key responsibilities- Own the technical health of multiple websites, ensuring every page is crawlable, indexable and fast
- Conduct regular site audits across crawl, speed, internal linking and Core Web Vitals
- Implement structured data (Schema) to enhance visibility and LLM discoverability
- Manage sitemaps, redirects, robots.txt and canonical tags confidently
- Collaborate closely with SEO, content and dev teams on new pages and features
- Monitor performance through GA4, SEMrush and Search Console, spotting trends early
- Support content strategy through technical insights and keyword analysis
- Stay ahead on AI and entity-based search — a key business focus
- 2+ years' experience in SEO, ideally with a technical or hybrid background
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress (Elementor) and confidence editing HTML, CSS and PHP
- Solid understanding of Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, crawl budgets and site architecture
- Experience using SEMrush, GA4 and Google Search Console
- Analytical mindset with a "find and fix" approach
- Available to start within the next two weeks
- Experience with LLM optimisation, structured data or JavaScript SEO
- Salary up to £35,000 FTE
