We're working with a leading Welsh apprenticeship provider — rated the No.1 performing training provider in Wales as part of the SAW consortium — to find a Digital Infrastructure Trainer to join their delivery team in Swansea. This is a rare opportunity to work with a provider that's genuinely making an impact: 89% of their apprentices remain with their employer post-programme, and their client base includes organisations like NHS Wales and the DVLA.

The Role

  • You will coach and assess apprentices working toward the Agored Cymru Level 3 and/or Level 4 Diploma in Digital Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Delivery will be hybrid, with visits to learners in the Swansea area alongside remote coaching sessions.
  • Day-to-day you will be:
  • Delivering one-to-one and group coaching sessions across the Digital Infrastructure pathway
  • Supporting learners through units covering networking principles, IT hardware, information governance, system security, and more
  • Tracking learner progress and managing portfolios of evidence
  • Working toward or holding an assessor qualification (CAVA / AET or equivalent)

What We're Looking For

  • A solid background in IT infrastructure — networking, hardware, system support, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, or assessment (apprenticeship experience preferred but not essential)
  • The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners at varying stages
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own diary
  • Welsh language skills are a bonus but not required
