THE ROLE PURPOSE
This is a hands‑on Salesforce leadership role, sitting at the centre of the business’s commercial operations. You’ll be the sole owner of Salesforce, responsible for how it’s configured, how clean and reliable the data is, and how effectively the platform supports sales and commercial decision‑making. Salesforce has recently been relaunched, and the focus now is on making the business use it to its full potential. That means improving usability, building meaningful dashboards and reporting, increasing adoption, and reducing reliance on external consultants.
You’ll work closely with senior commercial stakeholders and technology leadership to turn Salesforce into a genuine engine for the business, rather than just a CRM. This is not a strategy‑only role. There’s a clear mandate to get hands on, fix issues properly, and build trust in the platform.
KEY SKILLS
- Salesforce administration and platform ownership
- Backend configuration (objects, fields, workflows, opportunity stages, data structure)
- Data cleansing, imports, and quality management
- Dashboard and report building for commercial teams
- Supporting and training Salesforce users
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication
- Comfortable working hands on with data
- Curiosity around process improvement and tooling
DAY TO DAY
No two days will be the same, but broadly you can expect to:
- Own Salesforce end to end across the business
- Manage backend configuration, sandbox changes, and data structure improvements
- Cleanse and maintain data quality to ensure trust in reporting
- Build dashboards and reports that sales and commercial teams actually use
- Support users day to day and improve adoption across the business
- Work closely with senior commercial stakeholders on insight and reporting
- Handle data uploads, spreadsheet clean‑ups, and ad hoc queries
- Act as the go‑to Salesforce expert
WHY IT’S AN EXCITING TIME TO JOIN
The business has recognised that Salesforce should be far more than a basic CRM and has made a clear decision to invest in getting it right. The platform has been relaunched, leadership is engaged, and there’s a genuine appetite to improve data quality, reporting, and commercial insight. You’d be joining at a point where ownership is badly needed not to firefight endlessly, but to bring calm, structure, and credibility to Salesforce. The business offers flexible working hours and a fantastic people focused culture.
