The Opportunity
I’m working with a long-established, family-run B2C business that’s quietly doing big things in the digital space - and they’re now investing heavily in SEO to future-proof their online presence, and need an extra pair of technical SEO hands to come in and support the team during a very busy next 6 months.
They’ve rebuilt their website from the ground up, and with AI and LLM-driven search changing the SEO game, they’re looking for a Technical SEO Executive who can take the reins on site health, performance, and technical optimisation.
This isn’t a “just run a few audits” kind of role - it’s a hands-on position for someone who genuinely loves the technical side of SEO: code, structure, schema, site speed, and all the techy bits that make Google (and Chat GPT!) happy.
Dependant on business resource during the next 6 months, there is a possibility of the role becoming permanent – if this isn’t something you’re looking for they are happy to just run with the 6 month contract.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the technical health of multiple websites — ensuring every page is crawlable, indexable, and lightning fast.
- Conduct regular site audits across crawl, speed, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
- Implement structured data (Schema) to enhance visibility and LLM discoverability.
- Manage sitemaps, redirects, robots. txt, and canonical tags with confidence.
- Collaborate on new pages and features, working closely with SEO, content, and dev teams.
- Monitor performance through GA4, SEMrush, and Search Console, spotting trends before anyone else.
- Help shape the content strategy through technical insights and keyword analysis.
- Stay ahead of the curve on AI and entity-based search — a key focus for the business in 2025.
About You
- 2+ years’ experience in SEO, ideally with a technical or hybrid background.
- Strong working knowledge of Word Press (Elementor) and confidence editing code (HTML, CSS, PHP).
- You understand Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, crawl budgets, and site architecture inside out.
- Experience using SEMrush, GA4, and GSC.
- Bonus points if you’ve explored LLM optimisation, structured data, or Java Script SEO.
- Analytical by nature, with a curious mind and a “find and fix” mentality.
- What’s In It For You
- Salary up to £40k DOE
- Healthcare Cash Plan & Company Pension
- Ongoing training, development and real ownership of your work
- Family-run business with a supportive, down-to-earth culture
- Join a growing team that’s genuinely investing in marketing and digital transformation
- Why This Role Stands Out
This is a genuinely rare in-house SEO role where your work won’t get lost in layers of hierarchy or red tape.
You’ll see the direct results of your technical improvements, have freedom to test ideas, and work with people who value expertise over ego.
