Our client delivers high-performance technology solutions for the UK Public Sector, using modern open-source tooling and operating within Agile and DevOps environments. This role is ideal for someone passionate about designing robust, scalable architectures and influencing digital transformation at scale.
Role tasks
- You will take a leading role in designing end-to-end solutions and guiding teams through architectural best practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for transformation and contribute to strategic technology decisions
- Developing strong customer relationships and spotting new areas where the business can add value
- Supporting multiple delivery teams and championing emerging technologies and best-practice approaches
- Mentoring and inspiring fellow architects, helping them align with organisational goals
- Owning architectural governance, resolving complex technical challenges and shaping secure, high-quality solutions
- Collaborating across a variety of projects and customer environments
- Presenting solution options clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Working closely with internal teams to share knowledge, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement
Required exposure
- You will have significant hands-on experience across several of the following areas:
- End-to-end technical and solution architecture design
- Modern open-source technologies
- Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Security principles and best practice
- IAM, OAuth, Cognito, OIDC (highly beneficial)
- Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- DevOps / DevSecOps tooling and methodologies
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, and Python
