Leeds – 3 days in office
Calling all paid media and paid social pros who love a fast-moving, data-driven environment. We're working exclusively with a well-known, long established Retail business to find a Performance Marketing Executive to join their growing in-house marketing team. If you get a buzz from A/B testing, know your way around Meta Ads Manager and Performance Max, and want to play a genuine role in shaping how a market-leading brand acquires customers, read on!
The Opportunity
This is a brilliant next step for someone who wants more ownership over paid media strategy without losing the support of expert agency partners. You'll work hand-in-hand with the Senior Performance Marketing & Ecommerce Manager and external agencies across paid social and paid search, building the knowledge and credibility to bring more of that activity in-house over time. It's a role with real variety — one day you're knee-deep in TikTok creative testing, the next you're getting under the hood of a Performance Max campaign, and the next you're presenting performance insights to the wider marketing team. No two weeks look the same.
What You'll Be Doing
- Paid Social
- Building and running paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
- Supporting product launches and brand campaigns, working closely with the brand team on audience strategy, platform selection, and creative
- Running continuous A/B tests across creative, audience, and format to keep performance climbing
- Getting close to agency-managed paid social activity, ready to take on more strategic input as the function grows
- Paid Media
- Acting as the internal go-to for paid search activity (Google Ads and Microsoft Ads) managed by the SEM agency
- Learning the account structure and performance levers inside out to inform strategy
- Supporting Performance Max and Demand Gen campaign planning and optimisation
- Partnering with brand and creative teams to sharpen messaging and storytelling across paid media
- Channel Growth
- Helping bring smaller channels in-house — think Apple Search Ads, Pinterest, TikTok, and RTB House — to make agency budgets work harder
- Building relationships with platform account managers to unlock insight and opportunity
- Getting trained up across platforms and staying genuinely curious about where the channel mix could go next
- Reporting & Budget
- Tracking performance against KPIs and contributing to regular reporting for the wider marketing and ecommerce teams
- Turning performance trends and test results into clear, actionable recommendations
- Supporting budget management across paid channels to keep ROI front and centre
What We're Looking For
- Solid hands-on experience running paid social campaigns (Meta essential; TikTok and YouTube a strong plus)
- Working knowledge of paid search platforms (Google Ads / Microsoft Ads) — agency-side or in-house
- Comfortable with data: you can read a performance report and tell a story with it, not just a list of numbers
- A genuine curiosity about testing, optimisation, and 'what happens if we try this instead'
- Strong collaborator — you'll be working across brand, creative, and agency teams, so communication matters as much as the numbers
- Bonus points if you've got an interest in running, hiking, or the outdoors — you'll be marketing to people who live for it
Why Apply
This is a chance to join a brand at the top of its category, with real scope to grow your remit as channels move in-house. You'll get exposure across the full performance marketing mix, a manager who's invested in your development, and a seat at the table as the strategy takes shape — not just an execution role.
