The Opportunity
Forward Role is partnering with a long-established Travel brand, as they look to secure a brand new SEO Specialist to take ownership of organic search performance across multiple websites. This isn’t a tick-box SEO role – they want someone who can think strategically, get hands-on technically, and work collaboratively with content and development teams to drive meaningful growth! The travel sector is a highly competitive search environment, and this business is serious about investing in organic as a long-term acquisition channel. You’ll have the opportunity to shape strategy, influence content direction, and see the direct impact of your work through enquiries and bookings.
What the Role Involves
- You’ll be developing and executing SEO strategies across several travel brands, covering everything from destination pages and travel guides through to inspirational planning content.
- On the technical side, you’ll be conducting audits, working with developers on implementation, and supporting site migrations and launches.
- Day-to-day you’ll be monitoring performance through GA4 and Search Console, analysing competitor activity, and presenting insights to marketing and commercial stakeholders.
What They’re Looking For
- You’ll need at least three years of solid SEO experience, a strong grasp of technical SEO and on-page optimisation, and confidence working across multiple sites or large content structures.
- Proficiency with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush or Screaming Frog is expected, as is experience with GA4 and Google Search Console.
- Experience in the travel, tourism or hospitality sector would be a real advantage, as would a background in destination or editorial content, international SEO, or digital PR and link building – though these aren’t dealbreakers for the right candidate.
In Summary
This is a great opportunity for an SEO professional who wants to work in an exciting global sector, with a business that has the content, the brands, and the ambition to grow. Up to £45,000 depending on experience, based in Chester with hybrid working.
