Location: Lancashire, near Preston – 3 days in office

Forward Role are supporting a well-established and highly regarded retail business with a strong omnichannel presence and a reputation for investing in people and digital innovation. As part of their continued digital expansion, they are now hiring an SEO Executive to join their growing, super-friendly & close-knit Digital Marketing team.

The Role

Sitting as part of a large, internal Digital team, the SEO Executive will help execute and optimise the brand's organic search strategy. You will act as the key point of contact for the SEO agency and work closely with internal teams across digital content, PR and development. From technical audits to metadata optimisation, you will be deeply involved in ensuring the site ranks effectively and organically attracts high-quality traffic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for the SEO agency, aligning on strategy and KPIs, working closely alongside the Digital Manager
  • Conduct keyword research, support campaign planning, and optimise product and landing pages
  • Collaborate with PR and content teams to support outreach and digital PR campaigns
  • Coordinate implementation of technical and on-page recommendations across the website
  • Monitor and report on rankings, traffic performance and SEO KPIs using GSC, GA and other tools
  • Take ownership of local SEO efforts (Google My Business and Bing Places), delivering regular audits and improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 12 months hands-on SEO experience, either in-house or agency
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices across technical, content and outreach
  • Experience using key SEO and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs)
  • Competent in Excel and highly detail-oriented
  • Proactive and organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities
