Growing engineering team within National Security and Defence.
Java, Spring Boot and big data engineering role. Full SDLC involvement, working alongside software engineers, data engineers and SREs on scalable applications and data-processing pipelines.
Locations
Gloucester, plus customer sites for high-side integration/deployment.
Rates
£45k-£50k
Security Clearance
Active SC required- must be eligible for higher clearances
Essential:
- Java + Spring Boot development
- Big data engineering / large-scale data pipelines
- Hadoop or comparable distributed processing
- Ansible or comparable automation
- GitLab (source control + CI/CD)
- SRE principles, production support, reliability
Desirable:
- Apache Pig
- AWS / Azure / GCP
- Docker / Kubernetes
- Monitoring & observability tooling
- Relational/NoSQL databases
- Agile/Scrum
