Analytics & Measurement Lead
York | Hybrid, 3 days in office
Β£65K DOE + benefits

Here\'s the situation: a UK-wide group with 170+ local sites has outgrown its own tracking setup. Everything currently runs client-side, so it\'s exposed to ad blockers and browser restrictions, there\'s no audience segmentation, and no formal measurement plans exist. Someone needs to build all of that from scratch, and that someone is you.

This isn\'t a \"maintain what\'s there\" role. You\'ll be setting the strategy, building the standards, and getting hands-on with the implementation yourself, then turning that into guidance regional teams across Europe can follow.

What\'s in it for you?

  • Salary up to Β£65K

  • Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, with flexible hours

  • Health cash plan

  • Retail discounts

  • Discounted services

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and volunteering days

  • Option to buy and sell holiday

  • Pension

  • Funding and support with courses and education

  • Dog friendly office

Three things that matter most for this one:

You\'ll lead the move from client-side to server-side tagging, giving the business a metrics-subdomain setup that captures data properly rather than losing it to browser restrictions.

You\'ll own pixel tracking and tagging alongside the analytics itself, so you\'re not just reporting on a setup someone else built, you\'re building it.

You\'ll need a genuinely solid grip on cookie consent and GDPR, with a clear view on how the data layer should govern what gets tracked and why.

Day to day, expect to be:

  • Setting Group-wide measurement strategy, tagging standards and governance

  • Hands-on with GTM and server-side tagging implementation

  • Defining event, data-layer and conversion-tracking standards across a large, multi-site estate

  • Mapping measurement across genuinely complex journeys, websites, booking engines, PMS/PIMS systems and marketing platforms

  • Working out cross-domain tracking, offline conversion measurement, QR-code attribution and campaign identification

  • Making sure paid media gets reliable, consent-aware conversion signalsOwning QA and data quality across the board

  • Sitting alongside Growth, CX and Content teams, turning their questions into measurable outcomes

What you\'ll need to bring:

  • Strong, advanced-level GTM and GA4 experience

  • A real understanding of server-side tagging and modern measurement architecture

  • Experience building measurement plans and data-layer/event specs from the ground up

  • A track record tracking journeys across multiple domains and systems

  • Consent-aware analytics know-how, including cookie consent/GDPR and advertising conversion signals

  • Sharp debugging, QA and data quality instincts

  • The ability to turn technical measurement into insight non-technical stakeholders can actually act on

  • Experience setting standards for, and supporting, less technical regional teams

Why this one\'s worth a look: it\'s genuinely a build-from-scratch role, not a \"keep the lights on\" role, and there\'s a serious amount of data across the estate to get into.

Please note, sponsorship isn\'t available for this role and short-term visas can\'t be accepted.
