Freelance Digital Marketing Manager (Amazon PPC / Paid Media) Remote (UK-based only) | ÂŁ400 per day | Outside IR35
We're working with a global ecommerce business looking for a highly strategic and performance-driven Digital Marketing Manager to take full ownership of their Amazon advertising ecosystem. This isn't a “manage campaigns” role; it's about building strategy, unlocking growth, and driving profitable performance across the Amazon funnel.
You'll own the Amazon media strategy and execution end-to-end, working closely with internal teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external agency partners to deliver measurable commercial impact. Key focus areas include:
- Owning the Amazon paid media strategy roadmap aligned to business growth targets
- Planning, launching and optimising campaigns across Amazon DSP, Sponsored Ads, AMS and emerging formats
- Using AMC and retail analytics data to understand customer behaviour and refine targeting strategies
- Taking full funnel performance ownership from awareness through to conversion and repurchase
- Analysing performance dashboards and KPIs to drive action
- Managing budgets to ensure efficient spend and strong ROI
- Running a continuous test-and-learn agenda across audiences, creatives and placements
You'll partner closely with content, creative and UX teams to improve conversion performance, lead and challenge agency partners with clear KPIs and accountability, and stay ahead of market trends, competitors and category shifts to shape how the brand shows up on Amazon.
We're looking for someone with 4–6 years' experience in Amazon digital marketing or performance media, with deep expertise across Amazon Ads including DSP, PPC, Sponsored Ads and AMC. You should have strong experience working with data and analytics teams to turn insights into strategy, a proven track record of managing significant media budgets with clear ROI impact, and experience working with and challenging agencies. You'll be highly analytical with strong data storytelling skills, confident communicating with senior stakeholders, comfortable in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, and have a growth mindset focused on testing, learning and optimisation.
