I’m working with a growing business who are investing heavily in their data team and are now looking for an Azure Data Engineer to play a key role in shaping their data landscape. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll be responsible for building a cloud-based data warehouse, integrating data from multiple systems, and enabling business-wide reporting. With a major ERP implementation (Business Central) underway, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring data is structured, accessible, and fit for purpose across the organisation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys greenfield-style engineering work, solving complex data challenges, and building scalable solutions from the ground up.

Experience needed

  • Proven experience building and maintaining cloud-based data warehouses
  • Experience integrating data from multiple systems (ERP, transactional platforms, etc.)
  • Exposure to Business Central or similar ERP systems would be highly beneficial
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and data quality
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering role with limited stakeholder interaction
  • Experience handling high-volume transactional data

Day to day

  • Designing and building a scalable Azure-based data platform
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines for ingestion from various systems
  • Supporting the implementation of Business Central, ensuring clean data flow across systems
  • Creating a centralised data warehouse to power reporting and analytics tools
  • Optimising and improving existing data infrastructure and processes
  • Ensuring data is accurate, governed, and aligned to business needs
  • Collaborating with technical teams to deliver robust data solutions
