As part of that journey, they're looking to appoint a
Technical Lead to become the most senior day-to-day technical individual within the business, providing leadership across software engineering, cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, and systems integration.

The role
They're looking for a genuine hands-on technical leader who can operate across architecture, engineering, cloud infrastructure, and delivery while continuing to contribute to codebases, technical decision-making, and platform improvements.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and cloud infrastructure, with your work split between hands-on Type Script/Node. js development and AWS/Dev Ops ownership.
You'll lead technical decision-making across several business-critical platforms whilst also owning cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system integrations, and platform reliability.
The successful candidate will remain hands-on in both code and infrastructure, supporting a small engineering team while helping shape the technical direction of the organisation.

- Building and improving internal applications using Type Script and Node. js
- Owning AWS infrastructure and cloud environments
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Driving Infrastructure as Code and automation initiatives
- Improving reliability, performance, security, and observability
- Designing and maintaining integrations between business-critical systems
- Mentoring software engineers and helping raise engineering standards
- Working closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable technical solutions
- Remaining actively involved in coding, code reviews, and technical problem-solving
