The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing early stage consumer retail business at a genuine inflection point. Built around a market-leading physical product and a capital-efficient subscription model, the business has achieved around 40% year-on-year growth across five international markets and is now ready to build a repeatable, measurable growth engine.

This is the company's first senior marketing leadership hire in the UK. Reporting directly to the Founder and CEO, you will take full ownership of the marketing P&L and partner at the highest level on the commercial agenda. The scope is deliberately broad, with a clear path to wider commercial leadership as the business scales.

If you want to set the strategy, build the team and define the playbook rather than inherit someone else's, this is the role!

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a global B2C marketing strategy aligned to revenue, retention and lifetime value targets across performance, brand, content and CRM
  • Own the full customer acquisition funnel across paid, organic, marketplace and partner channels with a clear focus on CAC, LTV and conversion optimisation
  • Build a lifecycle and retention engine that converts marketplace customers into long-term, direct subscribers
  • Develop the brand into a category-defining consumer proposition with genuine global ambition
  • Lead go-to-market planning for new product launches, working closely with the founder and product team on timing, channel and messaging
  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, with scope to grow into broader commercial leadership over time
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and marketing P&L accountability

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven B2C marketing leadership experience in a consumer, e-commerce or subscription-led environment
  • First-hand experience of building demand through both direct-to-consumer channels and global marketplaces, ideally with meaningful Amazon exposure
  • A track record of converting marketplace volume into direct, subscribed customers
  • Highly commercial with strong command of unit economics: CAC, LTV, payback periods and channel ROI
  • Data-driven with strong analytical capability and comfort owning a marketing P&L
  • Entrepreneurial, able to balance brand building with performance marketing discipline
  • Experience operating in a founder-led, scale-up environment where the playbook is being written, not followed
  • Hands-on and comfortable operating without large team infrastructure in the early stages
  • Previous experience of start up / scale up life and associated successes & achievements would be ideal
